Role: Chef Lecturer

Location: Bolton College, Deane Road Campus

Hours: approximately 10-15 hours a week, to teach L2 and L3 NVQ to adult learners. This is a merged class because of numbers (7 L2 and 7 L3 adults).  This may develop to a Monday as well to deliver to L1 adults

Term: Term time only – ongoing

Hourly rate: depending on experience and qualifications

Start: Asap

Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Chef Lecturer to join Bolton Talent Solutions and Bolton College on a temporary basis. You’ll be joining a lively hospitality department which includes excellent cooking facilities and our fantastic Signature Restaurant which caters for the public as well as the college. As Chef Lecturer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high quality tutoring to learners over the age of 16.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lessons covering NVQ levels 1 to 3.
• Guide learners aged 16 and upwards to achieve success and develop their skills.   
• Assess student progression through appropriate methods.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience of Chef tutoring
• Relevant qualification in Cookery or similar
• Teaching qualification
• Assessors’ qualification would be beneficial
• Experience of working with high needs learners would be beneficial
