Pay: 19.32 to £24.15 p/h

Position Overview:

We are looking to expand our Communication Support Workers team with skilled individuals who have a caring nature and an interest in education. As a Communication Support Worker at Bolton College, you will be applying your expert knowledge to ensure learners with hearing difficulties are able to get the most out of their classes and excel in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one to one support and guidance to learners who face challenges with their hearing.

• Cater support by using the student’s preferred mode of communication (e.g. British Sign Language, Lip Speaking, Clear Lip Speaking and note taking).
• To develop and review individualised support strategies throughout the academic year.
• To encourage independence in learning.

Key Requirements:

• Level 3 qualified in British Sign Language
• Level 2 qualified in English & Maths
