Role: Science Lecturer

Location: Bolton College, Deane Road Campus

Hours: Tuesdays, 1pm to 6:30pm

Pay: £22.68 to £25.71 per hour inclusive of holiday pay and dependent on experience and qualifications.    

Term: Temporary to 24th June

Start: ASAP

Position Overview:

BTS & Bolton College have a great opportunity for a Science Lecturer to join us on a temporary basis. You’ll join the team to deliver Applied Science lectures to level 2 and 3 learners. You’ll play a key role in supporting learners with their understanding of scientific principals and how these are applied in the real world.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Plan and deliver lecturers covering level 2 and 3 Applied Science
• Guide learners aged 16 to 18 in their understanding of material.
• Create an inclusive and encouraging environment for all learners.
• Assess and monitor student progression using appropriate methods.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Degree in Science or an associated discipline

• Minimum level 3 teaching qualification
• Experience of teaching in Further Education would be a bonus!
